Brand new, unopened, mint in box condition; PLEASE NOTE that all product packaging and boxes will have some shelf ware and may have minor imperfections like creases, folds, indentions or small tears in the boxes.

About the U.S M3 Half Track: The Carrier, Personnel Half-track M3 was an armored vehicle used by the United States during World War II. The US Army Ordnance Department had evaluated the half-track design by testing French Citroën-Kegresse vehicles.  The White Motor Company produced a prototype half track using their own chassis and the body of the M3 Scout Car. The design using commercial components was standardized in 1940 and built by the Autocar Company, Diamond T Motor Company, and the White Company.       The M3 was the bigger brother to the M2 Half Track Car which was intended as an artillery tractor.  It had a longer chassis than the M2 with access doors in the rear and seating for 10 troops - 5 either side.  A pintle mount or pulpit-ring over the front seats was used for a .50 caliber (12.7 mm) M2 machine gun and .30 caliber (7.62 mm) machine guns could be used from mounts along the sides of the passenger compartment.  The body was armoured all around with an adjustable armoured shutter for the engine's radiator and a bullet proof windscreen. T19/M21 81 mm MMC - M3 based Motor Mortar Carriage equipped with the M1 81 mm mortar (97 rounds), designed to allow the mortar to be fired from within the vehicle.       Production of the M3 ran to nearly 41,000 vehicles.  To supply the Allied nations, International Harvester produced several thousand of a very similar vehicle, the M5 half track for Lend-Lease.
